Vicki Taylor

My love of music began at age 4 which has led me down many musical paths: piano lessons, playing flute in the band, experience with musical theatre, extensive accompanying experience, and playing piano in church which led me to my current career as a church organist/choir director.

A member of the FFMC (Florida Federation of Music Clubs. An affiliate of the National Federation of Music Clubs).

I earned an AA in pre-music at Broward Community College and a BA with a major in music (theory) and Florida State University. In 2000-‘03 I studied organ with Willis Bodine at the University of Florida in pursuit of earning a Masters Degree in Organ Performance.

My method of teaching is traditional but over the past 30 years I’ve also incorporated techniques I learned while teaching in the Yamaha Music School and furthered my piano instruction to include, blues, jazz and popular music styles.

The goal of all my teaching is to instill an appreciation of music in each student and help them develop a love of music through their lessons.
