Marilyn Sharp, soprano, is currently based in Central Florida. An active concert performer, she has served as guest soprano soloist in Handel’s Messiah, Vivaldi’s Gloria, and Haydn’s Creation as well as a guest artist with The Gainesville Orchestra in their 40th Anniversary Ruby Gala. Her recent engagements include Despina in Così fan tutte, Mrs. Nordstrom in A Little Night Music, Lucy in The Telephone, and Gretel in Hansel & Gretel. In 2023 she looks forward to performing as Micaëla in Carmen at the Curtis M. Phillips Center, Zerlina in Don Giovanni at the Festival of International Opera in Italy, and La Maestra delle Novizie in Suor Angelica with Bold City Opera. In addition to classical repertoire, Sharp regularly performs in jazz, musical theatre, and rock venues demonstrating a versatile range of music genres.
