Carol McCoy was one of the first teachers of the Academy when it was founded. She earned her PhD and Masters Degrees from the University of Florida in Music Education and Music Theory. She earned her Vocal performance degree from Agnes Scott College and has studied piano with Dr. John Paul Jones and Edward MacDowell and organ with Dr. Raymond J. Martin. Her experience in vocal and instrumental performances has been on the national level. Along with private teaching, Dr. McCoy is also pianist for high school musicals and local theaters.
